The #GiveWayGiveLife Social Initiative by OLA aims to raise public awareness on giving way to emergency vehicles, especially ambulances.
Conceptualized and executed by Happy Mcgarrybowen & Early Man Film, and edited by the Prime Focus Advertising team, the ad features a patient in a critical condition en route to hospital in an ambulance with his family by his side. Stuck in celebratory procession, the ambulance is unable to pass through, causing the patient to breathe his last before making it to the hospital. However, in an unexpected turn of events, with every beat of the drum the patient gradually regains consciousness and eventually joins the crowd in celebration. The video concludes with the caption, “Thousands lose their lives every year due to ambulance delays. Zero miracles have been reported.” This statement is aimed at provoking thoughts among the viewers about the importance of giving way to an ambulance.
